Last year was wonderful with over 800 volunteers and more than 30 local churches all working together to make the Christmas Store a staple for the holiday season. More than 400 families enjoyed the Blessing of this event equating to almost 1,100 children who received presents on Christmas day.

What are the Ways My Congregation Members Can Serve?
Help sort items, help with set-up, greet and check-in families, gift wrap, be a personal shopper, be a runner, help restock the merchandise and work with our customers as a merchandiser, serve beverages, help with a children’s activity, or help with take down.
Where & When will the Store be Open?
Friday, December 14, 2012, 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
AND
Saturday, December 15, 2012, 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Host Location: West Market Street United Methodist Church, 302 West Market Street, Greensboro
Who will we serve?
In 2012, we will serve approximately 400 families who qualify for emergency assistance as determined through a screening process administered by social workers. These families will primarily come to us from the following schools and organizations:
Foust Elementary School
Gillespie Elementary School
Hunter Elementary School
Washington Montessori School
Gateway Education
Newcomers School
Parents as Teachers
Partnership Village
Veteran Administration
We are open to including families your church may already be serving as well!
